- What costs are involved in developing a web site?
- There are several different components to creating a web site, and they vary from client to client. Some of the things you will have to take into consideration are:
- Domain Name Registration - do you already own a domain name (e.g. www.yourcompany.com)? GuideTech Solutions offers free domain name registration with the purchase of any of our hosting packages.
- Hosting - If you don't have a domain name, you probably don't have a hosting server. If you do have a host, will it support the features you want your site to have (i.e. database, shopping cart, contact forms), does it have enough space, bandwidth and email addresses? - Design - This is the bulk of the cost of creating your own web site. Do you require a fully customized design based on your current brand and marketing strategies, or would a pre-built template be adequate?
- Maintenance - Visitors expect your content to be up-to-date. Ensuring your site is current keeps your customers coming back.

- What language are the pages written in?
- Pages are currently coded in XHTML Transitional, and use CSS for layout and formatting. Java script is used for client side scripting where required. We can develop server-side solutions in any language (CGI, Perl, PHP, ASP, JSP).
- I already have a web site but it needs updating. Can you help?
